Inspired by the Latin American movie star, Maria Felix who was famous in the 1950s and a long time customer of Cartier. Cartier launched the La Dona collection in honour of Maria Felix. The curves of the La Dona resemble her favoured reptilian pets. The dial is a tapered asymmetrical shape and the bracelet has curved links that are inspired by the scales and movement of a crocodile.
