Purchase with confidence. We run a twenty-point verification process on every watch to ensure you get the quality product you deserve. Some of the steps on this quality check process are the following:
1. Check for Cosmetic Condition
Whether you buy a new watch or a pre-owned one, we run a thorough quality assurance process to make sure that the condition of the watch matches exactly what you purchased.
2. Movement Check
We carry out a series of tests to make sure every part of the movement is working well, running on time +/-5 seconds a day.
We check its authenticity and make sure that all the parts are original and that they are not Frankenstein watches.
We also check that there are no damaged parts in the movement.
3. Number of Links
We count the links in every watch to make sure they line up to the original links count. We also adjust the size of the bracelet or strap by adding or removing links to make sure it fits your wrist perfectly.
4. Stretch
When dealing especially with a pre-owned watch, we check the tightness of the bracelet and make sure the watch is not stretched. We also check that the bracelet has not been swapped.
5. Engravings
We check that the engravings such as the serial number, model number, material like gold and platinum are original and authentic.
6. Dial Check
We check that the dial is in good condition with no scratches or problems. We make sure the dial is the original one and that it hasn't been swapped.
7. Polish
We check the condition of the watches and make sure, if the watch is unworn, that it hasn't been polished before. In pre-owned watches, we make sure that they've been polished and touched up perfectly by an expert watchmaker to ensure the original finishing look and client satisfaction.
8. Crystal Check
We run a quality check on the crystal to make sure there aren’t any scratches or chips.
9. Waterproof Check
We test all the gaskets of the watch and confirm that they are tight. We replace gaskets if necessary to ensure the waterproofness of the watch.
10. Contents Included
We make sure that all the contents that accompany the watch such as manuals, booklets, wallets, cardholders, boxes, outer boxes and tags are guaranteed authentic. We check that the Papers are original and match the watch you purchased. We also check that the papers have no washed dates.
11. Serial Check
We check that the serial is not on the official stolen watches lists. We make sure that the watch matches the original configuration of dial, bracelet, bezel, movement, mid case, box style and papers style. You will always purchase a legitimate original watch.
12. Original Warranty Papers
In order to guarantee authenticity of the watches we sell, we make sure every piece we source comes with its original warranty papers or card. We verify that the papers match the watch you are purchasing.
13. NYC Watches Two-Year International Warranty
Once we’ve completed all the quality check process, we provide our own Warranty, the terms of which you can check in Warranty section. We date this card with the day the watch was sold and add all the necessary information for you to feel confident with the purchase you’ve just made.
