The panther first appeared in Cartier’s creations in 1914, initially through a spotted motif used on a watch. Over the following decades, the animal became increasingly present in the Maison’s jewelry, with Jeanne Toussaint playing an important role in developing the panther into a three-dimensional sculptural motif from the 1930s onward.

Today, Panthère de Cartier appears across rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and other jewelry forms. The collection interprets the feline through sculptural silhouettes and recurring details such as onyx, emeralds, diamonds, and precious metals, while maintaining the panther as the defining element of the design.
