The Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Novak Djokovic GOAT Edition comes in three colors aligned to the familiar colors of tennis’s three playing surfaces, and each variant is offered in a numbered sequence to follow Novak’s wins on each surface. Accordingly, there will be 72 pieces in blue, symbolising Novak’s hard court wins; 21 in orange for his clay court wins; and, making it the most exclusive, eight in green for his wins on grass. The 101 watches are numbered but not limited.
The models bear the highly conceptual MHUB6035 Automatic Tourbillon. In place of a traditional, solid mainplate to hold the movement components in place, Hublot’s engineers conceived an eye-catching three-dimensional lattice that takes the shape of tennis racquet strings. Each “string” is just 0.55mm thick and appears to be secured into the mainplate edge by attachment points that echo those found around the inner rim of a tennis racquet. The gaps between the strings are intentionally irregular, as they would be on a tennis racquet mid-match.
