This iteration showcases a polished 18-carat white gold case, 42.4mm in diameter, paired with a Horizon blue dial and rhodium-plated hands and appliques. The refined aesthetic owes to a redesigned case structure featuring a thinner casing ring and domed sapphire crystals on both sides. Noteworthy is the intricately crafted dial, crafted through a 60-step process, creating optical depth with 15 layers of transparent lacquer. Subdials are meticulously milled into both the brass blank and lacquer layer, further enhanced by a special printing process for a three-dimensional effect. The Portugieser Automatic 42 is driven by the IWC-manufactured 52011 caliber, adorned with circular graining and Geneva stripes. Its Pellaton winding system, reinforced with virtually wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic components, boasts a 7-day power reserve in two barrels.
