Cartier Crash Skeleton in a 45x28mm platinum case on a black alligator leather strap. The choice of 950 platinum for this watch makes it even more collectible as it is not only more difficult to shape (compared to gold), but Cartier watches in platinum are also rarer. The crown is ornamented with a blue sapphire cabochon which matches with the blued sword-shaped hands, both signature aesthetics of Cartier.

The watch is powered by the caliber 9618MC whose bridges and baseplate form the skeleton dial of the watch. A manual winding movement with 72 hours of power reserve, its gear train and barrels have been modified to correspond to the unusual case shape. Very ingeniously, the movement bridges act as replacements for the Roman numerals – as you can decipher XII at 12 o’clock, III at 3 o’clock, VI at 6 o’clock, and IX at 9 o’clock. A unique aesthetic rarely seen in the current landscape of watchmaking.
